Starting with a discussion about how you'd like to use your garden, Earth Empire can design your outdoor space to fit your aesthetic, budget and lifestyle. The design engagement is flexibile, ranging from a garden refresh to a fully scoped garden makeover.
A Landscape Design engagement typically includes:
- onsite consultation and site measure
- CAD prepared drawings
- concept drawings exploring ideas & possibilities
- site plan outlining layout & dimensions
- surface finishes detailing finishes & materials
- planting plan showing which plant goes where
- plant schedule & palette detailing plants & qty
- drawing details for design elements
- section elevation drawings and
- lighting plan

Onsite Garden Advice
Want to tackle the garden makeover yourself but a little unsure where to start?
Request a 2-hour onsite consultation for $350.
As part of this visit we review your existing garden layout, identify areas that contribute most to visual impact and develop a plan. Recommendations can be simple or a little more involved, including:
- pruning and shaping
- new feature plants
- design elements such as pots or garden art
- hardscaping or
- refreshed layout
At the end of the visit, you will receive a summary of the consultation outlining the plants and solutions discussed, including hand drawn plans and ideas.

Planting Plans & Plant Supply
When all you need is some help in choosing the right plants for your existing garden layout.
Earth Empire can provide knowledgeable planting advice during an onsite consultation (see above) or prepare a comprehensive, CAD designed planting plan for your entire garden.
CAD designed planting plans are drawn to scale and include
- site measure
- presented in A3 or A2 format showing exactly where each plant will sit in the garden
- plant names
- plant quantities and
- pot sizes required.
Earth Empire can also source the plants from reputable growers at competitive prices.
Planting plans available from $750.
Landscape plans for Council Permit applications
Landscape Plans for Town Planning Permit applications. Quick turn around times and horticultural expertise will ensure you comply with Council guidelines and differentiate your housing development with considered design. Earth Empire has ample experience working with Melbourne's Council's giving you the assurance of a compliant design.
Landscape Plans for Council applications include:
- Site visit and review of Council documentation
- CAD prepared drawings
- site plan outlining layout, finishes, dimensions and TPZ requirements
- planting plan (including canopy trees)
- plant schedule & palette detailing plants & qty
- Existing vegetation plan
